Sacramento Water Tank
W. Elkhorn Boulevard,
Sacramento, California
95835
In the northern part of Sacramento sits a water tank that figuratively has been torn asunder to allow passers by to see the nature scenes inside. In actuality it has been done up with some excellent 3-D images, and the water tank has been made to look like each side has had a hole ripped into it, revealing scenes of nature inside the water tank. The artwork is really quite good for a water tank, and two different scenes are on it, one on each side. Both scenes are of trees with a variety of birds, mostly cranes, standing around or perched on the tree's branches. The water tank appears as if it was peeled back, complete with realistic looking shadows from the peeled back areas.

East Side:
The water tank can be found on the southern side of W. Elkhorn Boulevard, just east after Natomas Boulevard. There are areas to park on either side of it.
