Klingon and Romulan Courts
Klingon Court and Romulan Court,
Sacramento, California
95823
In a southern part of Sacramento, lies a little known street intersection between two little known streets. But to a certain sci-fi fandom, the corner is somewhat more important. The intersection is the meeting of Klingon Court and Romulan Court, two species of aliens in the science fiction franchise, Star Trek.
You might think that the naming of this intersection is a relatively new thing or that it happened when Star Trek was enormously popular. Anything but, actually. A city planner by the name of Ted Colbert who was a Star Trek fan named the streets back in June 1977. The first movie wasn't to be released until 1979 and the TV series had been off the air for many years, and yet, two streets in Sacramento were named after important alien races.
Klingon Court is the longer of the two streets with Romulan Court running directly into it. For another Star Trek themed street, check out North Las Vegas for Captain Kirk Court!
