Catnap is a colorful mural of colorful cats, located in the Carlsbad / Oceanside area. It was painted by Michael Summers in 2013, and shows a white tiger family having colorful rainbow paint drip down the wall towards them, while one holds an umbrella up. Found at the corner of Carlsbad Boulevard and Grand Avenue, it is about 18 feet tall. Michael Summers has painted other artwork involving the same theme: animals having rainbow colored paint drip over them. The series is called "Right as Rain" and other pieces have featured lions, elephants, giraffes, dogs, and even robots.
