In Yermo, off Interstate 15, you may be confused as to why there is a giant heart shaped sign with the words "Jenny Rose" written in the middle. This was the sign for the diner, the Jenny Rose Restaurant, and it is easily viewable from Interstate 15. Long ago closed, possibly in late 2008 or early 2009, the restaurant still sits across the parking lot from the sign. If you look in the windows, furniture and restaurant equipment can still be seen inside, abandoned over a decade ago.
The iconic and neon sign currently has "Jenny Rose" written in blue in the center of the heart with "Restaurant" below it. Although at one point, back in the nineties, the sign had a large "Cafe" written in the middle of the heart with "Jenny Rose" written under. No idea why exactly the name changed, but I've heard the restaurant referred to as both Heart Cafe and Jenny Rose Cafe.
Back when the sign called the restaurant the Jenny Rose Cafe, it was featured on the back of Sheryl Crow's debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, which was released on August 3rd, 1993. Perhaps Crow used this picture since the second track on the album is called "Leaving Las Vegas" and as you head back to Los Angeles from Las Vegas you would have easily seen the iconic and now infamous sign.
